About
Alex is a Ph.D. Candidate whose work reflects an unconventional path through engineering, global business, and academia. After careers spanning aerospace engineering, international business leadership, and organizational strategy, he turned his attention to a different kind of complex system: people. His interdisciplinary background continues to shape how he approaches both research and teaching.
His research interests examine organizational communication, leadership, workplace behavior, and trust, with a particular interest in technical and high-performance organizations. By combining perspectives from engineering, business, and the social sciences, Alex seeks to better understand how communication influences decision-making, organizational culture, and leadership effectiveness. Outside of academia, he enjoys studying and performing classical piano, serving on advisory boards and other non-profit endeavors, and pursuing entrepreneurial ideas that connect technology with human behavior.
