Brandon J. Laurent (M.A., California State University, Los Angeles) is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. His health communication research investigates how individuals marginalized by race, sexuality, gender, and disability navigate and negotiate their healthcare needs both within clinical settings and in their broader communities.
