Yuhan Qi is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on how misinformation and disinformation in digital media shape public cognition and behavior, with particular emphasis on cross-cultural communication disparities. She specializes in employing computational communication methods, such as AI-driven simulation, to analyze persuasive effects in advertising and marketing, and designs strategic communication interventions to counter false information. Additionally, she investigates how emerging technologies like augmented reality and generative AI are transforming brand communication and advertising content, aiming to enhance the social impact of communication campaigns through empirical research.
