About

Bailey Hughlett is a PhD student at the University of Connecticut  interested in health, family, and interpersonal communication. She holds a M.S in Communication Studies from Utah State University. Bailey works as a teaching assistant, with prior teaching experience in public speaking and interpersonal communication. Her research interests focus on how people handle health crises, such as cancer. Some of her previous work looks at memorable messages of childhood cancer survivors, communicating the risk of air pollution, and supportive processes for individuals and their families with substance use struggles.
