About
Michael J. Melnik is an Educational Program Assistant II in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. In this role, he provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic support, including budget oversight, graduate admissions coordination, purchasing, and event planning, while supervising student staff and supporting the day-to-day operations of the department.
In addition to his administrative work, Melnik maintains an active presence in the arts as a musician, recording engineer, and organizational leader. He holds leadership and performance roles with regional ensembles, including the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, where he contributes to artistic planning, operations, and community engagement initiatives.
