On January 27, UConn’s Department of Communication welcomed back Fritz Bacon Gilbert ’17 (CLAS) for an event, titled “What Does It Take to Be a Creative?” Gilbert spoke about his experience as a communications major and a creative professional.
As part of his visit, Gilbert joined students in COMM 2700: Fundamentals of Digital Production, sharing insights from his career, lessons learned since graduating, and practical advice for those hoping to break into creative fields. His visit offered students a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced industry — and served as a reminder of the powerful, real-world impact of a UConn communication degree.
